Overview Overview of the Directives and Operators
Directives are instructions to the assembler; they do not appear in
the final machine code. Operators are special instructions usually
having to do with math functions you wish the assembler to perform
on immediate data. The Turbo Assembler (TASM) can use all of the
Macro Assembler's (MASM) directives and operators plus a few more;
those that only TASM can use are marked as TASM directives or TASM
operators.
